How we work

How does Generation work with government partners?

We help people get new skills and jobs by deploying public funding to deliver our programmes, typically through public institutions (technical and vocational programmes).

We also work with governments to build the capacity of public skilling systems. We train their staff to use our methodology, generating a better return on public investment.

We train and place learners in sectors with high employment potential, focusing on the skills and qualities employers require.

Generation has received global recognition, including being honored by WISE, being named among the Top 100 proposals for the MacArthur Foundation’s 100&Change competition, and receiving the Roddenberry Prize for bold solutions to social challenges.

Project Amber in India

Project Amber is a joint initiative between National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), and Generation India with an outcome-based approach rooted in Generation’s methodology that will train 30,000 learners in COVID-resilient job roles.
